Operating Mode: Using the Agrosta Analog Texture Analyzer is simple and straightforward:

• Place your sample on the table or inside the beaker (if chosen).

• Unscrew the micrometer until the fine tuning table is completely closed (Z = 0).

• Loosen the tray blocking screw and position the tip in close proximity to the sample surface (less than 1 mm distance).

• Adjust the micrometer to lightly touch the sample without applying pressure (if pressure is applied, unscrew slightly).

• Adjust the micrometer to achieve the desired stroke.

• The dynamometer always stores the maximum reading. To reset the dynamometer to zero, press the button located on the device.

Example (Bloom Test): To perform a bloom test:

• Place the tip in contact with the gel.

• Screw the micrometer by 4 mm.

• Read the dynamometer value on the grams scale, which represents the Bloom index.
