An advanced colorimeter and spectrophotometer that measures both visible and infrared wavelengths for precise classification of food, fruits, vegetables, and more. Ideal for creating customized classifications for research and industry.
The AGROSTA® Roxanne is a high-tech colorimeter and spectrophotometer, specially designed for food, fruits, vegetables, pharmaceutical, and chemical analysis. Equipped with visible and infrared wavelength capabilities, this device enables precise classification of samples, detecting subtle differences that are invisible to the human eye, such as fat content in milk or fruit maturity.
Ideal for use in research, quality control, and R&D, Roxanne provides consistent, accurate results and allows for the creation and customization of classification files specific to country products. By recording color data across the visible range and near-infrared, this device is an essential tool for any industry requiring detailed color and texture analysis.

The device is engineered to operate reliably throughout its lifetime, with no maintenance required. All devices come with a two-year warranty

Place the sample on the colorimeter head and input classification indexes into the software. Save the data to create a “neural file” for accurate future classifications.
Once the classification is complete, position your sample on the device and press “space” on your keyboard. The Roxanne provides detailed color readings across 9 wavelengths (8 in the visible spectrum and 1 in infrared) as well as brightness data. Use this information for classification or spectrophotometric analysis.
Export your measurement data to Excel for detailed reporting and further analysis. Customize classification files to meet specific research or quality control needs, making the Roxanne a truly flexible solution.
Classify fruits like strawberries, apples, or tomatoes by color and texture.
Analyze complex samples requiring precise spectrophotometric readings.
Validate product consistency and quality in R&D or production.
One of our Spanish clients, a researcher specializing in olives, recently conducted a comparison between the color measurements obtained with a Konica Minolta colorimeter and those provided by the sensor used in the Agrosta Roxanne colorimeter. The color data proved to be very similar.
The Agrosta Roxanne therefore offers numerous advantages. In addition to its price, which is approximately three times lower, it includes learning and calibration functions, USB power supply, and a comprehensive software package that enables easy data export to Microsoft Excel and other analysis tools.
As a result, Agrosta Roxanne provides an affordable and efficient alternative for researchers, laboratories, and quality control professionals seeking reliable color measurements without compromising performance.
The device provides readings with a resolution of 1/1000 for each wavelength across the visible spectrum and near-infrared.
The device uses neural network classification in a 9-dimensional space, ensuring fine-grained, accurate sample classification.
Yes, users can create tailored classification files based on CTIFL color standards or specific research needs, allowing for highly specialized applications.
