Firmness measurement, made simple
The Agrosta 100 Field is a portable statistical firmness tester for soft fruit. Press the sensor on the fruit, remove it: the value is announced aloud and added to your batch. No notebook, no calculator.
What it does for you
• Measures each fruit and keeps the highest value reached, so a fruit that bursts never gives a wrong reading.
• Speaks every result in English or Spanish, so you can keep your eyes and hands on the fruit.
• One or two measurements per fruit: in x2 mode, measure each fruit twice and only the average of the two is recorded.
• Calculates the statistics of the batch: average, standard deviation and the Hom Index, our homogeneity index (standard deviation divided by the average). The lower the Hom Index, the more homogeneous the batch.
• Stores your lots in the instrument, with a name of your choice, in files ready for Excel or LibreOffice (.csv).
• Resumes after an interruption: your measurements are kept even if the instrument is switched off during a lot.
Designed for the field
• Colour touch screen (2.8″): everything is done with a finger, in English or Spanish.
• Rechargeable LiPo battery (3.7 V, 3000 mAh, made in Germany), charged through USB-C. The screen dims after 2 minutes and the instrument goes to sleep after 10 minutes to save energy.
• Interchangeable sensors for your fruit: A100-10 (peaches, apricots, grapes, kiwis…), A100-25 (tomatoes, cherries, plums, blueberries, peppers…), A100-50 (strawberries).
Your data, on your computer, without any software
Connect the instrument to your computer with the USB-C cable: it appears as an ordinary read-only USB drive named AGROSTA. Copy your .csv files, eject, done. It works on Windows, macOS and Linux, with no driver and no application to install.
Measure a batch the right way
We recommend testing at least 35 fruits per batch, always at the same measuring points. The average tells you how firm the batch is; the Hom Index tells you how regular it is: two batches with the same average can behave very differently in the customer’s pack.

Guarantee and support
Two-year guarantee from the date of the order. Support and documentation from Northcopter Agrosta, Forges-les-Eaux, France.
Maintenance free
The device is engineered to operate reliably throughout its lifetime, with no maintenance required (Except cleaning fruit juice). Calibration can easily be checked by the user, thanks to the sensor’s double-check system. When a value of 100% is obtained on a hard flat surface, it guarantees that the device is fully calibrated. The calibration is highly stable
